Mindfulness. You know it’s good for you. It’s often the answer coaches and experts give when asked how to learn the skills we need for recovery and optimal emotional health.
But how can you make it a habit? How can you integrate it into your already busy life?
As a certified yoga instructor, meditation leader, and life coach, I’ve developed methods to teach other busy physicians and professionals the tools they need to create sustainable mindfulness practices they can use on their own.
Consider giving this gift to your conference or retreat attendees by hiring me as a yoga or meditation leader for your event!
What does this look like?
Yoga Instruction
My yoga practices vary in length from 30 to 60 minutes, depend on the facility and needs. Asanas can be modified for all body types and abilities. I follow a flow-based practice structure designed around the idea of a Hero’s Journey.
- Connection – The start of the practice marks an invitation to connect with the present moment and create connection between teacher and students. We set an intention for our journey.
- Passion – We cultivate passion by warming up the body with vigorous sun salutations, bringing heat to the practice. This marks the embarkation on the journey.
- Commitment – We commit to the journey through poses that focus on balance and grounding.
- Contribution – We culminate our journey with a series of poses that open our hearts in vulnerable contribution to others.
- Gratitude – This part of the practice returns from and resolves the journey in gratitude with bowing poses and a final shivasana to absorb all that we’ve learned.
- Connection – We come full circle back to connection to end our practice.

Meditation Skills Session
I offer an interactive workshop on different mindfulness skills you can employ at your desk, on the wards, or at home, whenever you need a moment. We focus on easy modalities in the categories of meditation, breath work, and asanas (in the form of chair or wall yoga). This course does not require yoga mats or activewear for the participants.
This skills session was debuted at the White Coat Investor Physician Wellness and Financial Literacy Conference in March 2023, and over 100 people attended. It’s obviously something physicians and other professionals want: actionable ways they can cultivate mindfulness in their lives.
Give your conference and retreat attendees actionable skills they can employ after your event is over!
