When’s the last time you let a higher power be your guide? Maybe you call it God. Maybe the Universe. Maybe it’s more of a deep sense of knowing, of intuition. My guest on today’s Lean Out Podcast episode refers to it as your “inner guru.”
Erin Doppelt is a spiritual psychology and meditation teacher with a master’s degree in psychology from Columbia University Teachers College. The start of her adult career as a marketing leader for a chain of big city restaurants left her feeling empty. A self-described spiritual child, Erin felt the call of a unique opportunity to lead students on a trip to Israel, so she booked a one-way ticket.
Erin spent her twenties living in Israel, India, Asia and Europe, studying with diverse gurus and yogic educators. She is the CEO and founder of the international brand Spiritual Intelligence, which hosts certification trainings, business and spiritual courses to support those looking to live their most unedited, nourished, and authentic lives.
Erin is the creator of UpLevel Meditation, an active meditation framework supporting those with anxiety, depression, and ADD/ADHD. She is also the founder of the Align Coaching Certification. She is the host of the Wise Woman Podcast and the author of the new book, Nothing Can Stop You.
I thoroughly enjoyed talking with Erin about her unique background and diverse travel experiences, in addition to her thoughts on why women are naturally suited for entrepreneurship. She reminded me that, not only should we lean out from the “shoulds” and the “rules”, we should equally lean in to what we truly want and need in the moment. The only way to know that is to get in touch with your spirit, your true self.
