For women, it’s true that we can have it all. But we can’t have it all at once.
There are seasons in life. Those seasons are going to be different for each of us.
For my guest on the most recent Lean Out Podcast, her current season is that of entrepreneur helping other small businesses with their marketing. Dr. Minnie Gupta began her professional life as a PhD biochemist. She quickly earned an MBA because she was drawn to business, and she used that training to manage her physician husband’s large private practice.
Until a family crisis occurred.
Sometimes your call to lean out might come at what seems like an inopportune time. It did for Minnie – in her 50’s during a difficult period for her family juggling her husband’s illness and her childrens’ launches into adulthood. But starting her own marketing business was just the purpose and creative outlet she needed to survive a difficult time.
It’s never too late to lean out, to make a change, to strike out on your own, to do that thing you’ve been wanting to do.
