I recorded this episode with Dr. Mary Leung, a hematologist/oncologist and life coach to physicians, a few weeks ago. I knew I would call it “gratitude” after our conversation. And here it comes in the queue, right on time for Thanksgiving week!
There’s never a “time for gratitude”; the best time to practice gratitude is all the time.
But I’m happy to bring you a reminder this week!
Mary immigrated to the United States as a young girl and sought the rigorous path of becoming a physician. Once she “arrived” at her dream job, she had a strong feeling of 🤨🤨🤨. Fast forward several years and she was burning out, seeing 25-30 patients a day and staying hours afterwards to finish charting.
Now, she sets a positive, efficient tone for each day – with herself and her support staff. She sees her patients, takes appropriate breaks, and still gets charting done to leave at a reasonable time so she can go spend time with her family.
Find out how she made this transformation and how she now shares what she learned with other physicians by listening to our conversation below, or wherever your like to listen to podcasts.
Happy Thanksgiving!
